Cesar sweeps him once or twice with his eyes, looking for telltale traces of a concussion. Trying to get a good look at his pupil size, he steps closer, his concern translating into a look of mild concentration.
"Have you been feeling alright, Rex?" These could be very bad signs. Memory loss? Hallucinations? What if Rex is losing his memory again to his strange amnesia?
[Cesar is giving him a strange look and he does not know how to handle this. He doesn't remember his brother ever looking this way at him. It's a little concerning!]
"You sound delusional, and I'm afraid it's a bit concerning," Cesar answers bluntly. Apparently having no regrets with calling his little brother crazy, he lifts a finger close to Rex's face, moving it from one side to the other to watch how Rex tracks it with his eyes.
Cesar gives up with the eye-tracking. "You're talking about parallel universes, and 'large blue things that kill you', Rex. That sounds pretty delusional to me."
"Have you been getting enough sleep recently? Any illnesses? Strange chemicals?" Cesar straightens and puts a hand to his chin, looking for all the world completely unmoved and unconcerned. If it weren't for the fact that this is his brother, Cesar might as well seem as though he were talking to a total stranger about directions to the nearest subway, rather than about potentially serious mental health conditions with his only family alive.
There is a pause, and the gears in his head visibly turn and work to mull this problem over. With as big a brain as his, surely his next words will be something useful, something clearly geared towards resolving this puzzle.
"... This is very strange."
Or not. Cesar thinks for a little longer, before appearing to shake himself, snapping back to the here and now.
"We'd better get you somewhere indoors, mijo. It's not safe for you out where just any Providence agent can find you."
